Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of Organized Chaos. So today I want to walk you through a process that I created that I feel is really helpful if you're feeling a little out of balance. So when it comes to just the different areas of your life, when you feel like maybe you're putting too much emphasis on one particular area of your life and then the other areas are kind of suffering and you feel overwhelmed and kind of like you're spread too thin and you just want to be able to kind of create this synergy among the different areas of your life so that you can truly feel like you have control over your life and you can feel happy. So I wanted to kind of touch on this, because this is one of the questions that I get. Basically, people ask me, and especially moms that have businesses and they have so many hats that they wear. They ask me like, how do you do it all? Like, how do you maintain your health and have good relationships and have time to spend with your family or doing the things that you love and still keeping your mind in check and still being positive? And I just want to say that I am not perfect by any means. Nobody is and I still struggle. In fact, a lot of the times and I think that this may be a superpower that I've generated is that I can now take those struggles and really learn from them and then create something that helps me, but then it's something that I can share with other people. So rather than those struggles really putting me down or stopping me from moving forward, I'm actually making them be kind of like a springboard to something even better. So I want to kind of walk you through this method, because this is something that I walk my clients through and it is really to first find some clarity in basically what you want. You want to be able to have a, a place where you know you're heading and have some clarity around it, so that you don't have a lot of the side effects of not having clarity, which is you do feel overwhelmed and you feel frustrated and you feel like you're moving. You know when you're moving one step forward, you start to move two steps back. So we all know that goals are important. They drive us, they create a sense of urgency and they're a place to aim at right. And I always say that a goal is actually never meant to be reached. It is meant to stretch you. So this is how I learned to really think big and almost in a sense that like when I think about a particular goal, I'm like, okay, there is no way that that's going to happen. And I mean now I know that there has to be some level of belief with these goals to be able to even come close to them. But I think that making them so big is not necessarily to kind of create this kind of fantasy that there's this goal that I really want to reach and it's so far fetched that well, you know, at least I'll try. And I mean that is the biggest thing is the actions that you take, because when you have this gigantic goal that you want to achieve. It creates this drive and this urgency and you take different actions and you would have taken had that goal been much smaller. So if you're going to be taking action anyway, why not take those actions to achieve a goal that seems really far fetched? Because even if you don't make it which that's not the point, like I said, it's still going to get you to a much farther destination than you would have been able to get to had you not set that goal. So one thing I think is important when you're trying to kind of cast this vision or create these big goals is finding the mental space to be able to think in a way that you would think of these goals. So, in other words, it's like you have to have kind of like a physical space where you feel inspired and you feel confident that you can put these goals on paper or type them up, and it's not going to be something that's just going to be put away and you're never going to think about it again. It's kind of like you have to have that that mindset of you. Know what I am going to put this together. I don't know how I'm going to do it, because they're just goals right now. There's no process to them or a plan yet, but I'm going to put these together and I'm going to do it in a way that is basically going to dive in deep into my heart so that I can create this out of love and out of just inspiration and out of positive sense of gratitude and all of those good feelings. So I think it's also really important to create a space for that, and whether that's, you know, you meditate first and then you kind of create these goals, or you have kind of some set of limiting beliefs that you're working through and you create some affirmations and you do it around that. I think that's really important, rather than doing it when you're. You're either forced to do it or You're just not in the right headspace. I think that's really important. So, finding clarity and creating that space to harness those really big goals and setting that vision for yourself, that's really gonna feel like it's worthwhile and this will create a much clearer picture of where you're headed and help you generate those goals and that plan for For your life, for your health, your business, your mindset, whatever it may be. Now it doesn't stop there, right? So you're gonna come up with this vision and these goals, but there has to be some action that takes place. But even before that and this is something that I have tweaked with my method is that it's not just, it doesn't end with the clarity and then the actions that you're gonna take. The consistency is the biggest piece and, going back to my story, that has been the aha moment of mine in this whole journey that I can be consistent. And because I have been consistent, I have been able to create all of these things or achieve these goals or at least get close to, like these big goals that I set for myself. So Go this is kind of going back to the first piece, when I talked about like there needs to be in an environment where you can Be in the right headspace to be able to have some clarity. So even before you get into how you're going to Create this life that you want, there has to be a way that is going to support you in maintaining that Inspiration, that motivation or whatever is going to keep you going so that you can eventually Actually achieve your goals or whatever it is that you want to do. So I make it an important part of this whole process my self-care routine. So I know that if I'm taking care of myself, if I am making myself a priority, I am much more likely to have the energy and the motivation to Do the mundane things that it takes to get to where I want to be. And If I get to where I want to be, there's also this kind of continuation they have to have in order to maintain that, and this is this is something that I really emphasize in this method, because it's it's really easy to, you know, be going 100 miles per hour and you know you're really driven and then like, something happens, something physically happens, something emotionally happens and it completely derails you. But if you have a routine and you have the habits that help support that, you know that level of work that you are doing, then you're much more likely to keep going. So I always, I always try to emphasize that and you know, having a specific self-care plan will help you stay grounded. It's also going to maintain your mental, emotional and physical health and it's going to create the space to basically get to the space that I think everybody wants to be in and that is harmony. So when we're talking about work-life balance, there is really no balance, it's just about. It's like an orchestra, you know you have to have like all of these different instruments playing in harmony for the you know the piece or the song to be able to be appreciated and to work, because if something is off, then the whole thing is off right. So this is, this is a piece that's really important to be able to maintain that harmony and get to that harmony eventually. So then I go into really fine-tuning some of the actions that I want to take to be able to reach those goals. So this is where I go into what is going to help me perform at my best. So what does that look like? Is it systems, you know, things to help me with productivity, things that are going to help me just simplify my life? I mean, I had someone and it seems like really kind of like an odd topic to have, but I had someone on the podcast who talked about colors. So she's a color guru and she talked about how that particular thing finding the right colors for her for herself really simplified her life, and she went into all of those details. But even something as simple as that knowing your colors you can actually simplify your processes or your life, and that's something that I go into in this particular phase is creating systems for yourself to simplify your life and your business activities if that is something that you have in your life as well. So having an action plan, having a personal daily plan to help you maintain focus, is really important, and also probably one of the biggest things that I think in the biggest mistakes that people make is time management. People are not focused on managing their time wisely, and it can be hard. I mean, this is where we go into the mentality of having to be there for everything and for everyone, and I think you have to have a gut check where you're just like okay, what is most important to me, what are my priorities and what do I need to spend the most time in? And once you get that figured out, you are going to find that you have more than enough time to do the things that you want to do and to do and to focus your energy on the most important things in your life. And once you have all of this, you're going to have a system to support your daily task in your life and your business and keep you focused and really do something that you truly love, and this this is going to give you more time to be creative. I think that's the really big side benefit to all of this because I mean kind of thinking about an analogy is I get the best ideas when I'm in the shower. So the reason for that there's some science behind that, but the reason for that is because I am focused on getting clean so there's no distractions or anything like that, so I'm very focused. So when you're focused, your mind is like going crazy and generating these ideas if you are thinking about a specific thing. So a lot of times people will say, hey, if you are struggling to find a solution for a problem, just go to sleep and your mind is going to continue to work to solve that or to find the solutions for that problem. I think the same thing goes for when I'm in the shower. I guess is that if I'm thinking about something and I'm taking a shower, I can actually come up with some of the solutions to a problem or trying to find ideas. I actually come up with podcast episode ideas in the shower. I don't know, maybe that was TMI, but it's finding that like thing for you. So what is that thing for you that helps you kind of be more creative and I think for a lot of people it will be being more focused and having systems to simplify your life. So I have a question for you, like now that you've listened to kind of like that process that I go through in kind of creating this harmony in my life, like ask yourself how empowered you would feel if you took yourself through this process. Now, of course, there's a lot of intricacies that are weaved in these different processes and there's more details on that, but just think about, like, if I went through and had a clearer vision with, you know, really motivating goals, if I had the ability to maintain or create a self-care routine, and then I also had systems that will help me be more productive, organize and, just you know, be able to simplify my life like how empowered would you be to basically take on anything like you can apply this to anything you want in your life. So that's a question that I'm gonna post to you and I think I'm gonna end this here and I'd love to hear your thoughts. So what do you think about this and what do you think is like your biggest, you know, maybe struggle or kind of bump on the road, whatever you want to call it. That is keeping you from either achieving something that you've set your mind to in the past or just being able to feel good and comfortable and motivated to continue. You know, striving for more like what is it for you? That is holding you back, so I'd love to hear from you. You can actually go to organized chaos podcast calm and you can either send me a message or you can even click on a like a microphone microphone icon at the bottom right hand corner and you can send me a voicemail, so I'd love to hear from you.
