Hey friends, welcome to this episode of Organized Chaos. I actually have a really short episode for you today. I'm in my kitchen right now because I'm not able to use the room I usually use for these podcasts, so if you hear my dog in the background, if you hear anything in the background, that's probably why. So anyway, today I want to talk to you about having a hands-free hustle and, essentially, creating and building a business that can run itself, and what I mean is really about automation and making things easier for you so you have the time to do the things that you love. What would your life as a mom entrepreneur feel like if your business runs smoothly on autopilot, allowing you to focus more on what truly matters to you. So this is what we're going to be talking about today, and it's not something or things that you can do in the future or once you have the time or the money or the resources. These are things that you can actually do right now to kind of set you up for that. So what I want to start off with is basically beginning with the end in mind, and this is where you kind of create kind of this visionary blueprint for yourself, because having a clear vision for your business is key. So the first thing you want to do is to really establish the destination for you, so to speak, and that way you kind of know and build the path to it. So these are things like defining your mission, your values and long-term goals, and this will really serve as kind of like the foundation for the automation. So that is the first thing is really establishing your vision for your business and for your life. The next thing is really being open to the idea of delegation. I think this is something that people really push back on, but this is a form of automation because it's really allowing you to take back your time. So let's think about this scenario You're lying down in bed and, instead of thinking about all of the things that are on your to-do list that you need to do, that are urgent, some things that you've been putting off and just like, the list goes on and on and like stressing about that. So, instead of feeling that way, you're thinking that somebody else is doing some of the things that I would have to do in the daytime. They're doing that right now, or there's a system that's actually doing that for me, so I don't have to worry about it. This is what delegation does, and it's something that I feel a lot of people don't do, probably because they don't want to ask for help or they feel like they need to do it themselves. No-transcript. Most of the time in the 12 years that we've been in business, the things that we have delegated, that have taken stuff off our plate and given us time back, are things that we didn't have to do, and someone else is doing them or a system is doing it much better than when we were trying to do it. So it's just a win-win situation. Another thing that gets missed when we're thinking about automation is systematizing processes. So these are things that mainly kind of like a program does where we don't have to take each step manually. We can set it up and there's like a like an upfront cost as far as well money wise, but also time wise where we kind of set up these workflows but then you don't have to do that anymore. So it's kind of like this template that walks through some of these tasks that you would have to do, like each step of the way, that you don't have to do anymore because you've systematized it. And a lot of the things that are systematized are just really repetitive tasks, the things that we really don't need to do manually, and it's just stuff that is super easy to kind of set up. I mean, for one example, there's emails. Sure, you have to write the email, but you can set it up so that it sends it to a lot of people at a specific date and time. So that is kind of like a way to systematize your time. I mean, you don't have to manually send an email to each person, it's already set up for you. So if you have a system like that, those are really helpful because they also integrate other tasks that you can do, not just emails. So another great benefit to having processes systematized is that you document it. You make sure that you document it because once you set that up, then you can pass it along or delegate it to someone. So let's say you actually you're doing really well and everything. You want to hire someone, you want to hire a virtual assistant? Well, if you have all of this documented, it's super easy to actually pass this information on to someone and not have to have like that time and energy that it takes to actually onboard someone. This is something that I get from some of my clients that they let go of virtual assistants because they think, well, it's taking me too long to actually train them or it's taking me too long to actually do have them do some things. It's like there's there's a lot of like that. You know, quote, unquote upfront cost to getting someone set up, or even like creating new tasks for them, and I feel like that's a huge mistake. I mean, if you don't really have anything for someone to do, then yes, don't waste your money and don't waste their time. But if you do, but you're kind of keeping yourself from doing that because you don't have systems in place, well then having a system in place would actually take care of that. So those are just a few of the things that I wanted to talk about to actually help you automate your business more, so you don't have to spend so much time. You can actually focus on the things that truly matter. Okay, and I don't know if you just heard that, but a few minutes ago my dog was underneath my feet and banging his bone on the tile, and now he's growling and barking at something, and I have no idea what it is. Usually it's someone that's at the door. There's nobody there, there's no package there, so I have no idea why he's doing that, because he normally doesn't. So, anyway, all that to say is I hope this episode was helpful and I hope, like that, it actually gives you kind of some hope that you know you don't have to do this all on your own, that there are ways to automate your business so that it can run really smoothly without you having to put more time and effort into it. Alright, I hope you have an amazing day and I will see you next week.
